Fingerprint Friday :: Operation Christmas Child Time!

Happy Birthday to my Father-in-Law PETE! I hope you have a great day!

I told you about this a few weeks ago and have noticed MANY blogs talking about this. THIS would be Operation Christmas Child. Read this:

received your shoe boxes last year

have received shoe boxes since 1993

To demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This next week is collection week so IT'S NOT TOO LATE! I know most of you are making your Christmas lists, so while you're doing that, make one or two more that include crayons, paper, a toothbrush and toothpaste, or maybe a slinky or a stuffed animal. Things that you probably wouldn't think of buying family or friends, but someone out there needs those things. A few co-workers and I went shopping at wally world this week for our items. It was fun! Here are our photos. The boxes are being put together this weekend then we'll take them to a drop off location.

 We found some crayons, paper...

 play-doh, ping pong-like balls, clay...

 toothbrush and toothpaste...

 stuffed animals, stickers and more.

I really challenge everyone of you to do this and if you have kids, have them make one. It's really neat to hear stories about kids doing this for other kids and how it makes them feel. What a great way to spread God's Word by helping a child out and sharing His love. Happy shoe-box making! :)
